I really don't have many (if any at all) people following me; let alone interested in what I have to say; so I don't know why I bother adding journal entries - I guess I just do : P

Recently I managed to get my hands on a copy of Beyond Good and Evil by Ubisoft; and I have to say: Wow (note my clever use of the "wow" icon)

It's probably the most challenging game I've played to date, and I've played my fair share of games, I think. And one thing I found about it, is that I actually really liked all the characters; they all had their own interesting quirks and personalities, and they were all so unique - I really loved it.

It was nice to see a game where all problems couldn't be overcome with mindless shooting and running around in circles. It was a little annoying at first - not being able to use the Dai-Jo Staff at any given time, but it was effective none the less, as I guess it kept the player from running blindly to battle and getting their sorry ass kicked by the Alpha Section.

I'll admit, the voice acting wasn't great, but regardless, I still felt a deep connection with all the characters; and I even found myself brought to tears during the final cinematic. I always get sort of a bitter-sweet feeling when I finish a good game, but this was different. That big finale was just... I guess you could say it left it's mark.

I'm really glad I picked this game up, and I'd greatly recommend it to anyone who happens to pass by a copy one day.

Definitely one of the best games I've ever played.
